S/3029 Antique Treen 19th Century Fruitwood Nutmeg Grater
An unusual early 19th century nutmeg grater in well patinated fruitwood, made in three sections with the body having two screw thread compartments for storing nutmegs. The top is carved in a serrated swirl for grating the nut. It has three historic shrinkage cracks, through it being probably overtightened at some stage in the past. The whole has a good rich colour and patination.
