S/6076 Antique Treen 19th Century Rosewood Auctioneer's Gavel

A good quality and well turned 19th century rosewood auctioneer's gavel, having incised line decoration. The double head, of traditional form, has a centrally carved emblem. The whole has ans excellent dark well grained colour and patination.
