S/6033 Antique Treen Early 20th Century Mahogany Oval inlaid Snuff Box

An excellent oval inlaid mahogany snuff box, having a fitted lid that is edged in boxwood stringing and with a border of crossbanded tulip wood. The oval inlaid centre has a divided border of stained grain sycamore surrounding a fan shaped central boxwood motif. The sides, crossbanded in tulip wood, conform with the lid with rectangular panels of horn edged in boxwood stringing. It has a most attractive contrasting colour and retains a patination.
