S/6071 Antique Treen Georgian Sycamore Cuckoo Whistle

A rare sycamore Georgian cuckoo whistle of a circular chunky design, having a rounded end with a finger hole to alter the pitch. The concave body has incised line decoration and a mouth piece in the usual manner. The whole has a pleasing honey colour and patination.
